The CO2 emissions emitted by this vehicle are excessive and very damaging. However, it is a very fast sports car with road presence and comes fitted with a good range of equipment - making it an attractive, high performance car. However, it will be expensive to run and all of these disadvantages could leave buyers unethusiastic about this purchase.

PROS:  This car is impressively fast and has a rapid top speed of 155 mph. Cruise control, rear parking sensors, leather seating, MP3 connectivity, Bluetooth and air conditioning are all included in the purchase of this car.

CONS:  This sports car seats four occupants as opposed to five and only has two-door access, which could be an inconvenience. This car’s CO2 emissions are massive, and extremely harmful to the environment.

Behind the Wheel

This car has a hasty top speed of 155 mph, which would be expected of a sports car such as this. It also has exceptionally fast acceleration speeds, travelling from 0-62mph in an astonishing 4.7 seconds. The car performs on average at 20.0 mpg, so drivers should expect high running costs and low efficiency.

The car’s power output is very high at 426 bhp, but that is typical of a car that is so quick off the mark. Its torque is also impressive at 420 lb-ft and this gives the car strong grip and lots of presence on the road. Unfortuantely, the drive is not as smooth or refined as expected and the model encounters high levels of difficulty in bends.

Looks & Equipment

Air conditioning rather than updated climate control is standard in this model alongside a number of other great features. These include electric door mirrors and electric front windows, alloy wheels and rear parking sensors.

Bluetooth is a significant piece of safety equipment that prevents drivers becoming distracted when trying to make phone calls whilst driving. This hands-free technology automatically registers the car when it is inside the vehicle so that drivers do not have to manually use the phone at all to make a phone call.

Leather seating can make driving and travelling in a car more comfortable, plus it makes the interior more stylish and sophisticated, and this luxury is included as standard with this model. MP3 connectivity is also added to improve entertainment and enjoyment within the cabin.

Practicality, Safety & Reliability

Chevrolet have provided a five year warranty with this model, which is a good advantage to drivers concerned about reliability. The warranty is applied to the first 100,000 miles and as such exceeds the standard three year 60,000 mile set-up offered by most other manufacturers.

The car's security has been well established and the model comes fitted with an alarm so that it is protected in the event of a break in. It also has central locking, which is more convenient for drivers than having to manually lock the car and there are driver, passenger and front side airbags fitted to protect the occupants from harm during a collision.

The cars practicality is typical of a sports car. It can seat four occupants and has two door access. The boot space is surprisingly good for this vehicle however, as when the rear seats are up there is still 320 litres of free space available for luggage.

Value for Money

The Chevrolet Camaro Coupe is priced at £34,995 and whilst this price includes a good range of features it is still fairly expensive. Of course, this is to be expected for a car of this class and unsurprisingly the running costs are high too due to low fuel efficiency and poor green credentials. This will see it incur high road tax costs whilst the class and performance credentials of the car mean it is likely to encounter high insurance premiums too.
