The steering is fast and accurate and inspires great confidence in the driver. The car also handles astonishingly well, mainly due to the quattro four-wheel-drive system which keeps the car planted and stable on the road.
The top speed is an impressive 197 mph and 0-62mph arrives in just 3.9 seconds. The performance from the 5.2-litre V10 is awe-inspiring and the R8 is genuinely one of the best driver's cars that money can buy.
The Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI Quattro offers a number of great standard features including power steering, central locking, stability control, alloy wheels, climate control, electric door mirrors, electric front windows, a metallic paint finish, leather seats, a built-in sat nav, Bluetooth connectivity and an advanced stereo system with CD player and MP3 connectivity.
Looks-wise, the R8 is a masterpiece. Beautifully sculpted lines and a low-slung body make the R8 look like it means business.
Practicality has clearly taken a back seat - not that the R8 has a back seat - and the boot only offers 100-litres of storage space. However, this is only to be expected from a car of this type.

At £109,090 the R8 V10 5.2 FSI quattro is what economists would deem as being 'on the pricey side'. Running costs are also high with the car falling into the highest insurance bracket (50) and the highest road tax band (M) with excessively high carbon emissions of 346g/km.
