Ssangyong has released sketches of the new e-XIV electric concept ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show later this month.

The e-XIV (eXciting user Interface Vehicle, in case you were wondering) is a B-segment off-roader 'Range Extender EV', which is propelled by an electric motor and batteries, while a small on-board petrol engine recharges the batteries if needed.

The concept's glass roof is also fitted with solar panels which help improve the car's range. On sunny days, at least...
