Renault have revealed the specification and pricing structure for the latest Twingo.
The third generation model will be available from late September and will sell from as little as £9,495 for the Expression SCe 70 option. The new Renault was revealed in March at the Geneva Motor Show and will come in three different trims, Expression, Play and Dynamique.
Two engine options will be available, the new 1.0-litre 70 hp SCe three-cylinder normally aspirated engine and a Dynamique TCe 90 with a 0.9-litre 90 hp three-cylinder turbocharged unit. Start-stop technology will be available in the Dynamique option, improving fuel efficiency.
Connectivity will provide access to navigation, telephone and multimedia functions via Smartphone in all models and the Dynamique goes one step further with a 7 inch touch screen including voice control and TomTom navigation.
Changes in layout mean that the new Twingo will have its engine at the rear of the car and five doors instead of the previous three. The car will be 10cm shorter and have 22cm more cabin room, good news for fans of space and manoeuvrabiity.
All options come with body-coloured bumpers, door handles and exterior door mirror shells, a rear spoiler and LED daytime running lights. Also included are electric power steering, electric front windows, remote central locking, a speed limiter, a height-adjustable steering wheel, a trip computer and gear change indicator and a lane-change function for the indicators.
