Renault are celebrating the news that their all-new Scenic has achieved top marks in crash safety tests.

Euro NCAP, the independent safety organisation which tests each new model released on the European market, have awarded the all-new Renault Scenic their top five-star rating.

The model, which arrives in the UK later this year, is the 20th Renault product to have earned a five-star Euro NCAP rating, performing particularly well in the adult occupant protection category where it scored 90 per cent.

The all-new Scenic boasts reinforced steel skirts, side members, windscreen pillars and posts, creating a protective safety cell for its occupants, and is equipped with two curtain airbags for the first and second rows and two lateral airbags in the front. Active Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection comes as standard, and other driver aids include hands-free parking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and fatigue detection warning with trajectory analysis.
