The new SEAT Leon has passed crash safety testing with flying colours.

Euro NCAP awarded the new SEAT Leon a full five-star rating, with the model scoring highly in all areas of testing.  It scored 92% for adult occupant safety, 88% for child occupant safety, 71% for vulnerable road user safety, and 80% in the safety assist category.

The new SEAT Leon boasts seven airbags, as well as systems including Autonomous Emergency Braking, Side and Exit Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Traffic Jam Assist, Light Assist and Pre-Crash Assist.

The new SEAT Leon and SEAT Leon Estate will include petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid versions, with all receiving the same high score from Euro NCAP.
