Kia has released a teaser picture of a new compact crossover concept which will be making its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.

Very little information has been revealed about the as-yet-unnamed concept; however, Kia claims that the concept hints at a possible B-segment crossover. This means that should the concept reach production form, it will be a rival for the likes of the Nissan Juke and the Peugeot 2008.

Kia describes the concept as being "playful but gutsy, sturdy yet impish" and claims that the car features a number of "intriguing elements not always associated with smaller cars." We'll have to wait until Frankfurt to see what these elements might be, but the teaser images do appear to show that car will feature a bold design, inside and out.

The company also points out that the concept has been designed and built in Europe with European tastes in mind.

There are no plans for the concept to reach production at the moment; Kia will use the Frankfurt show to gauge the public reaction to the car for future showroom models.
