Subaru's new WRX concept vehicle, which was unveiled at the New York Motor Show earlier this year, will be making its European debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10 September.

And the big news is that the Japanese manufacturer is considering reintroducing the WRX nameplate into the UK market, just months after it pulled the plug on it at the end of last year.

Subaru said: "The new-for-2014 Subaru WRX production car, while not confirmed for the UK market, is under consideration. Changing market conditions has allowed Subaru UK to re-examine the feasibility of bringing the new car into Britain."

This is good news for Scooby fans and we'd have to say that the new WRX looks absolutely fantastic. Subaru claims the new car is "lower, wider and sleeker" than previous models, with an even greater focus on handling, with a low centre of gravity and Subaru's obligatory all-wheel drive system.
