The Goodwood Festival of Speed is almost upon us so we thought it was high time we showed you what will be on display at this year's event.
The show's organisers describe Goodwood as the 'largest motoring garden party in the world' and with good reason -- since its inception in 1993, the festival's popularity has grown massively and it now attracts over 100,000 visitors.
Hundreds of exotic cars from the history of motoring will be racing up the famous Goodwood hill next weekend alongside new models and prototypes from the world's most preeminent car manufacturers.
Formula 1
Seven Formula 1 teams will be at the festival next week, including Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus, Mercedes GP, Williams and Caterham. On top of this, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Mark Webber, Nico Rosberg, Bruno Senna, Christian Horner and Adrian Newey will all be in attendance.
Former drivers such as Alain Prost, Sir Stirling Moss, John Surtees, Emerson Fittipaldi and Sir Jackie Stewart will also be making an appearance alongside a host of Formula 1 cars from the history of the sport.
Ferrari
The Ferrari 458 Spider is set to make its UK debut at the festival, alongside the lightened and more powerful California 30 and the V12 four-wheel drive Ferrari FF.
Citroen
Citroen's brand new DS5 will make an appearance at Goodwood, as will the DS4 Racing concept -- a new, sporty version of the DS4 with a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine developing 256bhp. The Citroen DS3 WRC will also be present and will be running in the hill climb and the Forest Rally Stage.
Bentley
Bentley will be showcasing its EXP 9 F SUV concept -- the firm's first stab at an off-roader. This will be joined by the new Continental GT V8, which develops 500bhp and can get from 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds, and the new Continental GT Speed -- the fastest Bentley ever made.
Renault
A huge range of Renaults will be on display next weekend including the rally-winning R5 Maxi Turbo and the RS01 Formula 1 car. The Alpine A11-50 concept car will also be on show, and festival visitors will be able to test-drive the new Twizy city car.
Peugeot
Peugeot will be unveiling its new 208 GTi Concept -- a hot version of the new 208 which it claims harks back to the old 205 GTi. Less interestingly, the French firm will also be unveiling the HX1 six-seater diesel-hybrid MPV. If you're planning on going to Goodwood, we'd advise you to go for a beer while this is happening.
Nissan
Nissan's Juke Nismo is set to make its UK debut and stunt driver Terry Grant will be attempting another crazy world record in a Nissan Leaf. To remind yourself of the amazing record he set last year, click the link above.
Jaguar
Jag's new F-Type prototype will be driven up the Goodwood Hill. Powered by a supercharged V6 or V8 engine, the F-Type is slated to go on sale next year.
More details are likely to be confirmed nearer the event and we'll keep you posted with all of the developments throughout next week.
