Jaguar put on a good show too, winning the award for 'Most Popular Large Executive Car' for its XF model, pipping the Audi A6 and the BMW 5 Series to the post. The BMW 3 Series, meanwhile, was named 'Most Popular Compact Executive Car.'

The Kia Picanto was named 'Most Popular Small Hatchback', while the Porsche Cayman won the award for 'Most Popular Performance Car.' The Mazda MX-5 beat the BMW Z4, Fiat 500C and VW Eos to take home the 'Best Convertible' award.

The Toyota RAV4 2.2 D-4D was named the 'Best Real World MPG Performer' and the Suzuki Splash was named 'Best MOT Performer', after information was released which revealed that the Splash is the car most likely to pass its first MOT.

The Honest John Awards are not awarded by judges; they are decided by Honest John website users. The cars which are most searched for on the website are judged to be of most interest, and are therefore awarded the prize.
