The Skoda Kamiq SUV has scored top marks in Euro NCAP crash testing.

The Kamiq scored 96 per cent for adult occupant protection, and testers awarded it the full rating for cyclist protection.  Overall, the Kamiq earned a full five-star rating.

Standard safety features of the Kamiq include Front Assist with Predictive Pedestrian and Cyclist Protection, City Emergency Brake function, and Lane Assist.   It has up to nine airbags, including an optional knee airbag for the driver and rear side airbags.  Optional safety features include Multi-Collision Brake, Crew Protect Assist proactive occupant protection system, ISOFIX and top-tether anchor points on the rear seat bench and front passenger seat, and Side Assist which alerts drivers to vehicles approaching from behind or in the car’s blind spot.

The Kamiq’s construction is based on a stiff body with large deformation zones, and uses an almost 80% share high-strength or specially hardened steels.

The Kamiq city SUV is available to order now at Skoda retailers.
