Ferrari has built a special £3 million one-off model for rock legend Eric Clapton.

The car in question, dubbed the SP12 EC was created as a tribute to Slowhand's long and illustrious career and his experience as a Ferrari owner.

The SP12 EC is inspired by Clapton's favourite Ferrari, the 512 BB, of which he has owned three. The car also features the 4.5-litre V8 currently used in the 458 supercar.

The car has been built as part of Ferrari's One-Off Programme, which creates new models based on customer demand. Customers who order a car also receive the tooling used to build it, as an extra reassurance that the car will remain unique.
