Citroen will use this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed to unveil its latest concept car, the Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing.
The DS3 Cabrio Racing was developed with the help of Citroen's hugely successful World Rally Championship team Citroen Racing and is designed to combine the best of the DS3 Racing with the DS3 Cabrio.
With a kerb weight of just 25kg more than the standard DS3 Racing, Citroen claims that the Cabrio concept is "exceptionally lively and agile". The 202bhp 1.6-litre turbocharged engine from the hard-top has been retained but Citroen has added special running gear, brakes and a carbon kit. The result of this, Citroen claims, is that the concept maintains the performance of its tin-top brother.
On the outside, the DS3 Cabrio Racing gets black 19-inch alloy wheels and black chrome inserts on the door handles, boot trim and door mirrors. The car also features a bespoke 'Moondark' matt paint finish and the car's black canvas roof features DS stitching.
Inside, Citroen has added bucket seats upholstered in a choice of three fabrics -- Napa leather, DS-embossed leather and Alcantara -- and special Carmin DS pearl-top stitching.
There's even a nod to practicality in the DS3 Cabrio Racing's leather child seat which, rather incongruously, has been upholstered to match the car's optional rally helmets.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from 11 to 14 July.
