Cadillac has revealed a new four-seat two-door coupe concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California.
The Cadillac Elmiraj concept is designed to offer a glimpse at Caddy's luxury cars of the future and follows on from the Cadillac Ciel concept which made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2011.
Underneath the bonnet, the Elmiraj is fitted with a 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 which develops 500bhp and 500lb-ft of torque, utilising technology taken from the Cadillac CTS V Sport.
The Elmiraj's chassis, which is still in development, will underpin a range of new Cadillac models. At 1814kg and 5207mm long -- about the same length as a BMW 7 Series, Cadillac clearly has no obvious plans to downsize its model range; however, design features such as new functional bonnet vents, along with 22-inch wheels and ceramic brake discs, suggest that future Cadillacs will have a lot to offer in the performance department.
On the inside, the Elmiraj gets smatterings of Brazilian rosewood, lashings of leather and hints of titanium.
The Pebble Beach Conours d'Elegance runs until Sunday.
