BMW will unveil its new Gran Lusso Coupe Pininfarina concept at the Concorso D'Eleganza later this month, and these teaser images give us our first indication of how the car could look.
Very little has been revealed about the new concept, which was designed in collaboration with Italian styling house Pininfarina, but it seems likely that the car will continue the styling direction displayed in last year's Zagato Coupe.
Under the bonnet, the Gran Lusso Coupe is fitted with the same 529bhp 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine currently used in the 7 Series.
The concept could potentially preview the next generation of BMW 8-Series, a model which has been dormant since 1999. It would continue the current BMW trend of producing luxury coupe models of existing BMW cars: the 3 Series is being joined by the 4 Series, the 1 Series by the 2 Series, and the 5 Series already exists in coupe form as the 6 Series.
The BMW Grand Lusso Coupe Pinifarina will be unveiled on 24 May.
