CarSite Car of the Year Awards 2013

Best Manufacturer

Car of the Year
Kia

The Kia success story has been little short of astonishing. In just a few short years the Korean manufacturer has transformed itself from a niche budget manufacturer into a genuine contender producing cars of immense capability and quality.

A quick glance across the Kia range is all it takes to realise why the company has become such a major player. The Cee'd, the Pro_cee'd, the Picanto, the Rio, the Carens: they're all genuinely very good cars. With excellent engines, build quality to rival the Europeans and, thanks in part to Kia's chief designer Peter Schreyer, handsome good looks, there really is very little to fault about Kia's current model line-up.

Kia's Head of Customer Communications, John Bache, accepts the award for Best Manufacturer

And when you factor in Kia's competitive pricing structure and class-leading seven-year warranty, it's not difficult to see how the company has earned its place as one of Britain's most popular manufacturers.

John Bache, Head of Customer Communications at Kia Motors UK, said: "It's always nice to be recognised with awards and becoming Carsite.co.uk Manufacturer of the Year is no exception.

"Hopefully it highlights the ongoing development of the Kia brand and long may that continue!"
