We've been trawling through the BuyYourCar archives and we thought we'd refresh your memory of the Ultima GTR.

The GTR holds the world record for the fastest 0-100-0mph time. That is, the time it takes to accelerate from 0-100mph and then brake back to nought again.

The Ultima managed this in 9.4 seconds -- less time than it takes most cars to reach 60mph.

For a racing car, this isn't particularly impressive -- a Formula One car will manage 0-100-0mph in less than five seconds. But the Ultima is a road car, with indicators, headlights and road-legal tyres.
