A double convertible sale at two British auction centres in Surrey and Manchester promises to be a UK first.
The auction sale will take place at auction centres in Blackbushe in Surrey and Belle Vue in Manchester from 16th to 17th March. Each of these locations will offer up to 250 convertibles in one auction hall and both auctions will be streamed live into the other auction hall.
All attendees will be able to bid on all 500 convertibles and those bidders unable to travel to the location will even be allowed to bid and buy online thanks to the Live Online bidding for buyers. With over 500 quality soft-tops being offered up for sale on one day at strategic locations in the North and South, plus Live Online bidding, buyers nationwide will have easy access to a wide selection of convertibles.
Alan Gupwell, BCA Corporate Account Manager for Lex Autolease believes that the timing of the event is great, as March is a busy period for buying new cars, indeed figures published by the SMMT show that March will be the busiest time for new car buyers this year.
"The March market holds a great deal of significance for the UK's franchised dealer network, motorists and the wider economy," said Paul Everitt, SMMT Chief Executive, commenting on the report.
"More than 350,000 vehicles will be registered in the month with private motorists and business buyers capitalising on the ever increasing levels of fuel efficiency, safety, comfort and practicality of today's vehicles."
Both auction sales will be open to the UK public. Organisers will give further peace of mind to bidders by covering each vehicle by the BCA Assured programme, which will provide a report on a 30 point mechanical check carried out by an independent motoring organisation.
