Infiniti has generated a storm of excitement amongst its fans ahead of next weeks New York Motor Show by releasing teaser sketches of its new crossover concept.
The three bench model, called the JX, is due to make its official debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August, but the company has released these brand new sketches now whilst the motoring worlds’ eyes are on the American car industry.
Three rows of seats in the luxury crossover mean that it will provide plenty of space for passengers and large families. Infiniti America's vice president Ben Poore said, “There aren't a lot of choices for luxury families today. The all-new Infiniti JX is the seven passenger antidote to the ho-hum luxury crossovers that are out there right now”, before going on to say that the JX will give excellent seating flexibility, and easy access to the third row of seats as part of a stunning new interior.
The company makes bold claims that the design is inspired by nature, and as with the Infiniti Essence concept car the JX has a “crescent cut” greenhouse profile.
The production model will be seen for the first time at November’s Los Angeles Auto Show, with a showroom launch to follow in Spring 2012.
