The Olympic Games are finally here!

And if you're one of those people who are sick to the back teeth of hearing about them, we think we have the perfect antidote.

Welcome to the CarSite 2012 Alternative Olympic Games.

There is no running, swimming or jumping in our Olympics. No slow-motion replays. No TV pundits analysing everything to death. Nope, all you'll find in the CarSite Olympics will be fast cars, insane stunts and a healthy dose of arsing about.

Read on, and click on the images to see the videos.

The Long Jump

Normally a fairly tedious sport to watch, we think it's vastly improved with the presence of an 850bhp custom-built truck.

Long Jump

Sprint

Sprint

Will Usain Bolt win the gold medal? We don't care. More importantly, which is faster: a Bugatti Veyron or a McLaren F1?

Swimming

One of the dreariest Olympic sports of them all. Maybe if Michael Phelps competed in a Hummer...

Swimming

Gymnastics

Gymnastics

Sorry, but this isn't even a sport. Who wants to see some Russian bird dancing around on a fake horse when you can watch Ken Block gunning it around in a Subaru Impreza?

Archery

This is another event which falls under the 'Not a Sport' category. Here, Richard Hammond and James May show how it can be improved.

Football

Football

What's the point in watching the football? We'll only get knocked out at the first given opportunity. So instead, it's back to Top Gear land to see how the beautiful game would look if FIFA were just a bit more imaginative.

Weightlifting

Weightlifting is normally quite funny to watch -- their faces are always priceless -- but we think we can improve it. How about lifting a whole car?
