Twelve months on from the launch of the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross, the Japanese manufacturer has moved to make changes to the range.
Out goes the SZ4 model, but added to the line up are CVT and ALLGRIP versions of the 1.6 SZ-T model. The SZ-T was originally intended to lure fleet buyers, but having proved popular with retail customers as well the addition of petrol-powered CVT and ALLGRIP versions will offer a wider choice.
The SZ-T specification adds satellite navigation, DAB digital radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, dual zone automatic air conditioning, front fog lamps, bluetooth connectivity, rear privacy glass, silver roof rails and silver skid plates, rear parking camera and rear parking proximity sensors, to a list of equipment which already includes seven airbags, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring, daytime running lights, cruise control with speed limiter, and heated door mirrors.
The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross 1.6 SZ-T CVT will cost £19,349, while the 1.6 SZ-T ALLGRIP is to be priced at £19,799.
The changes to the SX4 S-Cross range extends to a review of the pricing structure, which see most petrol models subject to a £500 price increase. An exception to this rule is the SZ-T model, which sees a price increase of just £250. Diesel-powered 1.6 DDiS SZ-T and SZ-T ALLGRIP models have been given a £250 reduction in asking price, bringing the gap between choosing a DDiS S-Cross over the petrol version reduced to £1,500.
