A London black cab which converts street noise into music has been touring the streets of the capital.

The 'Sound Taxi' is the work of London-based sound artist Yuri Suzuki in collaboration with headphone developer AiAiAi.

The Sound Taxi is fitted with special microphones which record London's ambient noise, and the data is then fed into software which turns it into live music in real time. The music produced is then blasted out through the 67 speakers fitted to the taxi's bodywork.

There is also a special set of headphones inside the taxi so passengers can listen to the music too.

The tunes recorded by the Sound Taxi will eventually be uploaded to Suzuki's website.
