Following a record breaking year Skoda has vowed to double its sales by 2018. The upcoming Geneva Motor Show will see the launch of a brand new concept car.

The concept is yet to receive a name but it will introduce Skoda’s new design language which will inform the look of future models. Skoda will also reveal a new rival to Volkswagen's Up! city car which it claims “boasts clearly defined shapes and a great sense of detail.”

Skoda will also be revealing a new logo which will be fitted to all new cars by next year, and the concept car will be the first model to carry the new design. Skoda also promised to improve the design of its showrooms.

The Czech manufacturer is also due to show off its Fabia Monte Carlo Special edition to coincide with the company’s 110th anniversary in motorsport.
