The Skoda Karoq has been refreshed for 2022 – prices start from £25,950 for a 110PS petrol model in SE Drive trim.
Look closely enough and you’ll see the new Karoq gets slimmer headlights and a wider grille than the old model and you also get ‘aero optimised’ alloy wheels with plastic inserts.
SE Drive models come with LED exterior lights and scrolling indicators (yep, like you get in an Audi), while 17-inch alloy wheels complete the exterior checklist. You also get rear parking sensors as well as an infotainment screen that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
SE L models have classier looks thanks to their 18-inch wheels and chrome window surrounds. They cost from £27,785 as a result. That price also buys you kit such as engine stop-start, front parking sensors, a rear camera and the Winter Pack. It packages cold weather lifesavers like a heated steering wheel and seats, plus heated windscreen nozzles that won’t freeze solid. Headlight washers should also help in the winter grime.
Sportline models get all that and more for £31,385. They sit at the top of the range thanks to their panoramic glass roof, electrically operated boot lid and matrix headlights that you can use on full power without blinding people.
Engines are as before, meaning you can choose from a 110PS 1.0-litre and 150 1.5-litre petrol and from two 2.0-litre diesels with 116PS and 150PS. Most models are available with an optional seven-speed twin-clutch automatic gearbox, while the top of the range diesel can be had with four-wheel drive.
