We already know what petrol prices in the United States are a lot lower than they are here in Blighty; however, now it appears that Americans are being actively encouraged not to pay for their 'gas', and deliver a karaoke performance instead.
The video you see below is a segment from 'Pumpcast News', a segment from 'The Tonight Show', an American talk show hosted by American comedian (and owner of the most impressive car collection in the world) Jay Leno.
In the segment, petrol station customers are surprised by a news anchor who appears via the station's television screens with the expressed purpose of scaring the living bejeesus out of them. In this segment he persuades the couple to deliver an impromptu vocal performance. Firstly, the guy belts out a rendition of Bon Jovi's 'Livin' on a Prayer', then his wife sings a version of 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)' by The Eurythmics, with him performing backing vocals.
In return, they get their petrol for free.
