Nissan have announced a new initiative to deal with customers facing long waits for delivery of new Juke, Qashqai, and Qashqai+2 models.

An order backlog for the models has seen Nissan’s Sunderland plant working at full capacity to meet demand, and now the company have moved to alleviate customer concerns by offering a free loan car to buyers facing a wait of more than three months.  The new scheme will see Nissan offer use of a Micra to Juke customers, or a Note to Qashqai and Qashqai+2 customers, free of charge with insurance included, to tide them over until their new car is ready for delivery.

"Juke and Qashqai models are in huge demand at the moment and it became apparent that the long lead times were inconveniencing some customers. To demonstrate our customer commitment we have developed this new, industry-leading scheme", explained Nissan Motor GB Managing Director, Paul Wilcox.

The scheme will enable any customer who has already placed an order, and whose remaining waiting time is in excess of three months, to request a loan car through their supplying Nissan dealership.
