Nissan unveiled its Juke-R at the Dubai Motor Show in January.
Intended purely as a one-off concept, the public reaction to the Juke-R was so positive that Nissan decided to produce a limited production run of Juke-Rs. The first model, Juke-R #001, has just rolled off the production line.
Under the bonnet, the Juke-R gets the same 3.8-litre V6 fitted to the GT-R, producing an impressive 545bhp. This is enough to get the Juke-R from 0-62mph in 3.0 seconds and on to a top speed of 160mph -- no mean feat when you consider that the Juke has the aerodynamic properties of a Massey Ferguson tractor.
Nissan has also raided the GT-R parts bin for suspension and drivetrain components, so the Juke-R should be as face-bendingly good through the corners as its smaller brother.
On the outside, the Juke-R gets a new front bumper, carbon-fibre detailing and a mahoosive rear-diffuser.
The only downside is the price. You'll have to fork out £400,000 for a Juke. This is what is known in financial circles as 'a lot of money', especially when you consider that you could buy a standard Juke AND a GT-R for just over £92,000.
