Renault has announced the pricing and specification details for the new Clio Renaultsport 200.
The latest Renaultsport hot hatch will cost from £18,995 when order books open next month.
This means that the new hot Clio will be £100 more expensive than the new Peugeot 208 GTI and a full £2,000 pricier than the Fiesta ST. On the other hand, the Renaultsport is more than £1,000 cheaper than the Polo GTi.
Standard equipment on the new Clio Renaultsport includes air-conditioning, seven-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, electric door mirrors, keyless entry and start, Renaultsport front seats and an Arkamys stereo.
Buyers also have the option of upgrading to Lux specification for an extra £1,000. This adds an upgraded stereo, automatic lights and wipers, climate control, electrically-adjustable door mirrors and electric tinted rear windows.
A Cup chassis pack is also available across the range. For an additional £450, you get a 3mm suspension drop, 15 per cent stiffer chassis, quicker steering rack, red brake callipers and 18-inch Renaultsport wheels with Dunlop Sport Maxx TT Tyres.
Optional extras include 18-inch alloys (£185), extra-tinted rear windows and tailgate (£250), heated front seats (£250), metallic paint (£495), climate control (£410), leather seats (£1000) and Renault's on-board telemetry system (£95).
The Renaultsport Clio is also the first Renaultsport to feature a new six-speed EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) transmission, which Renault claims is the only non-supercar gearbox of its type to allow for block downshifts.
The Renaultsport Clio is available to order from 8 April, with the first deliveries arriving in June.
