Mazda have upgraded their Mazda3 small family car. The new 3 goes on sale in the UK in early 2012.

Buyers will now be able to choose from a range of sixteen different models featuring a choice of two petrol engines and two oil-burners. Mazda have also added a 1.6-litre Sport Diesel to the line-up.

The new cars promise to offer savings across the board with lower fuel consumption, lower CO2 emissions, lower VED and lower BIK tax for company car drivers.

Mazda have not just been busy under the bonnet either; the new cars feature a revised front-end, a new rear bumper and new alloy wheels. On the inside, cabin comfort has been improved with new soundproofing and there are a range of new colours and materials available.

Prices for the new Mazda3 will start at £14,995, rising to £23,395 for the top-of-the-range 2.3-litre MPS.
