The new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer is available to order now. Prices for the new Vauxhall family estate start at £25,005 and first deliveries are expected in August 2022.
The 2022 Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer will provide more space and lower running costs than the car it replaces, with buyers getting the choice of petrol, diesel or plug-in hybrid power.
The new Astra estate is available in Design and GS-Line trim levels, with prices starting at £25,005 for the Design model and rising to £27,900 for GS-Line. The Astra Sports Tourer rivals the Ford Focus Estate and Toyota Corolla Touring Sports.
All versions of the 2022 Astra Sports Tourer will be well-equipped with LED headlights, touchscreen navigation and parking sensors fitted as standard. You'll also get more boot space comapred to the old Astra estate, with 608 litres of storage available with the rear seats in place.
The engine line-up starts with a three-cylinder turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol, which is available with 110PS or 130PS. A six speed manual gearbox is fitted as standard, but the 130PS version of the 1.2 petrol can also be specified with an eight-speed automatic.
The four-cylinder 1.5-litre diesel produces 130PS while the petrol plug-in hybrid is the most powerful powertrain in the Astra Sports Tourer line-up with a combined output of 180PS. The hybrid will also be capable of travelling up to 42 miles on pure electricity, with a full charge taking two hours.
Vauxhall hasn't released any fuel or CO2 economy figures for the 2022 Astra Sports Tourer but it is expected to add an electric model to the range. This new Vauxhall EV could arrive before the end of 2022.
