MG has reached a milestone in its dealership network as the now Chinese-owned brand continues its spectacular resurrection.
The company now has 50 authorised dealers in the UK with the addition of Seward MG in Havant, and Torbay’s Central Garage, and hopes to end a successful year for the marque by having 80 MG main dealerships by the end of this year.
The news comes as a further boost to the MG brand, whose cars are assembled at Longbridge in Birmingham, hot on the heels of figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders which showed an 842 per cent sales increase in the first five months of 2014 compared to the same period of last year.
The company attributes those record growth figures to the addition of diesel-power to its MG6 range, as well as the introduction of the new MG3 supermini last September. The MG6 range start from £15,455, while the MG3 is available from £8,399, both models benefitting from MG’s current ‘High 5’ promotion which comes with five years free servicing up to 75,000 miles, five years free warranty, five years AA breakdown cover, five per cent APR finance for five years, and £500 worth of fuel vouchers for five years.
MG’s dealership network has grown spectacularly over recent months, with the addition of centres in Havant, Torquay, Sheffield South, Dudley, Gloucester, Sheffield North, Woking, Spalding, Barnes, Newcastle, Leicester, Harrogate, Doncaster, Northampton, Swindon, Norwich, Falmouth, Brecon, Maidstone, Wareham, Exeter, and in Oxfordshire, all since November last year.
