The new Mercedes S-Class is due to be unveiled next week.
This is what is known in the motoring world as 'a huge deal.' The S-Class is one of the most important cars in the world, a dazzling showcase for the technology which will be available on your Vauxhall hatchback in the year 2020. A new version of the S-Class affords us a glimpse into the future and, judging by the list of kit available on the new car, the future looks impressive.
Unfortunately, until now we've largely been kept in the dark with regards to how the car will look. Sure, Mercedes has given us a sneaky peak of the S-Class's interior, but the car's exterior styling has remained a mystery.
Until now...
The images you see above are not of the new S-Class, but of a small 1:18 die-cast model of the car. The pictures appeared on a French forum dedicated to miniature models.
As you can see, the S-Class is not the most radical new car on the market, but we never expected it to be. One of the things which has always appealed about the Big Benz is its aura of discrete good taste and Teutonic solidity, and if these photos are anything to go by, it appears that the new model will be no different.
