Kia has joined forces with DC Entertainment and RIDES magazine to create a Batmobile-inspired Optima.

The Kia Batmobile was unveiled at the Time Warner Shops in New York last night.

Kia's Batmobile features a matte- and piano-black paint scheme, lowered suspension, a mahoosive bodykit, 20-inch wheels with bigger brakes, and a performance exhaust system.

The car also gets a special Batman-themed custom front grille which apparently took over 40 hours to create.

Yellow LED lighting appears throughout the car and the iconic Batman symbol is even etched into the Kia's headlights.

The Kia Batmobile is the first of eight highly customised Kia cars designed to represent members from DC's Justice League and is designed to raise awareness of DC Entertainment's 'We Can Be Heroes' campaign, a charity which aims to fight hunger in the Horn of Africa.
