When Chris Smart realised he would probably never be able to afford the £15m that he would need to have the car of his dreams in his garage, he decided to get creative.

Two weeks of sketching and painting with waterproof paints have given Chris a garage to be proud of, or a garage door to be proud of, at least.

The 32-year-old Hampshire man, who had been looking at garage covers on the internet, thought that his garage door was dull and wanted to have a bit of fun with it, the result being this impressive illusion of a pristine 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO sitting inside his garage.

Hidden behind this customer support worker’s masterpiece is a BMW 1 Series, and whilst there is nothing wrong with that, he would be forgiven for wanting to keep his garage door well and truly shut. Unless he can forge a very successful new career in garage door customisation, that is, and one day afford the real thing.
