The Hyundai Santa Fe has won the title of 'Best Used SUV' in the What Car? magazine Used Car of the Year 2011 awards.
The seven seat Santa Fe 2.2-litre CRDi CDX has been named as the Best Used SUV of the year by a judging panel made up of experts from all areas of the automotive industry in the What Car? Used Car of the Year 2011 awards.
A statement from What Car? magazine explained the choice, saying:
"The Hyundai Santa Fe has improved with age, offering space, practicality and reliability and an ever-more bargain price. The only drawback is its rarity, so you may need to hunt to find the perfect car. However, invest a little time and you'll find it's worth the effort."
The 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe CRDi CDX seven-seater sells for an average of £12,000 at official dealerships, or at an average of £11,210 in private sales.
The Managing Director of Hyundai UK, Tony Whitehorn, said of the victory:
"Santa Fe is a popular used car buyer's choice as it offers a great blend of practicality, reliability and fantastic value for money. I'm delighted that this model has been recognised by What Car? magazine as the Best Used SUV of the Year."
The firm were also keen to point out that a used car from a Hyundai dealer comes with 12 months warranty, 12 months roadside assistance, a safety and condition check, and a 30 day or 1000 mile exchange agreement.
