Honda has revealed the latest incarnation of its NSX supercar concept at the Detroit Motor Show today.
And although the new NSX concept looks broadly similar to the NSX concept shown at last year's show, the new model provides a first glimpse into the possible direction Honda will take with the car's interior.
Honda claims that the NSX's interior "boasts outstanding visibility, a strong driving position, and an intuitive 'Simple Sports Interface' that minimises interior clutter, allowing the driver to focus on the driving experience."
Unlike the legendary Ayrton Senna-developed 1990s supercar with which the new NSX shares its name, the new car will feature an all-wheel drive hybrid drivetrain, with electric motors powering the front wheels and a mid-mounted V6 coupled to another electric motor sending power to the back.
The late, great Ayrton Senna helped to develop the original Honda NSX.
It seems that Honda is intent on honing the NSX to perfection and, as such, it is not expected to go into production for at least another two years. But given the enduring popularity of the car's predecessor, Honda can be forgiven for wanting to get the new NSX just right.
The NSX concept will make its European debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March.
