Fiat has won the 2011 GreenFleet Awards City Car Manufacturer of the Year Award for its 500 TwinAir model.

Introduced into the engine line-up this time last year, the 500 TwinAir became part of the 500's model line-up in June and, despite its tiny 0.9-litre 2 cylinder engine, the 500 TwinAir can get from 0-62mph in 11 seconds and on to a top speed of 108mph. The TwinAir will also return 68.9mpg and offers tax-busting CO2 emissions of 95g/km.

GreenFleet Marketing Manager, Colin Boyton said: "Although a closely fought category again this year, the Fiat 500 TwinAir, with its low consumption, two-cylinder, clean petrol engine, was the resounding choice for the City Car Manufacturer of the Year Award."

Prices for the 500 TwinAir start at £11,600.
