Fiat has introduced engines which conform to Euro 5 emissions standards across the Panda range.

As well as improving emissions, Fiat has also improved fuel consumption and performance across the range with the new Pandas boasting quicker acceleration and higher top speeds.

The old 1.1-litre petrol engine has been replaced by a 1.2-litre 69bhp unit. This propels the car to 62mph in 13.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 101mph. Fuel economy is good at 57.6mpg and the 1.2-litre Panda will produce 113g/km of CO2. The 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel has also been improved, returning 67.3mpg and 109g/km of CO2. It will get the Panda from 0-62mph in 13.1 seconds and tops out at the 103mph.

The Panda line-up now consists of four models: 1.2 Active, 1.2 MyLife, 1.2 Dynamic and 1.3 Mulijet Dynamic. Prices start at £8,445, rising to £12,285 for the 1.3 diesel.
