Fiat has announced the price list and details for the new 500byGucci. The car - which has been customised by Gucci’s Frida Giannini – will cost from £14,565 when it goes on sale later this month.
The 500byGucci will be available with a choice of two engines: a 1.2-litre 8v engine and Fiat's pioneering 0.9-litre TwinAir.
More interesting than this is Fiat's decision to make the car available for purchase online only. Buyers will have to log on to the Fiat website on which they can configure, order, and track their car and arrange delivery of it when it has been completed.
The online ordering process is a tad gimmicky but the 500byGucci will undoubtedly be a success on its release as the 500’s chic appeal sees no signs of waning.
