Like it or not, Christmas is just around the corner.
And if, like me, you're one of those people who finds themself doing their Christmas shopping, drunk, in a Shell garage at 7pm on December 24, we think we've found the perfect way to get ahead of the game.
Jenson Button's BAR-Honda show car from the 2003 Formula One season is up for grabs on eBay and can be yours for the princely sum of £25,000.
That's a genuine, bona fide Formula One car for the price of a basic Audi A4.
However, before you reach for the chequebook, we feel duty bound to point out one or two problems with Jenson's BAR. Firstly, it was absolutely rubbish -- Jenson finished the championship without a podium and his team-mate, Jacques Villeneuve, ended the year with six points.
The second issue is that, being a show car, the BAR is supplied without an engine, gearbox or pedals. Now, we're not experts on F1 cars but even we can tell that this will make it difficult to drive.
The third issue is, of course, the price. £25,000 may be cheap for an F1 car, but you'll still have to be pretty well-heeled to fork out this sort of money for a carbon-fibre go kart with no engine.
Still, if you've got the readies, the BAR could make the perfect gift for a Jenson Button fan this Crimbo.
Jenson's BAR is being sold, weirdly, by Stafford Land Rover.
