A car has crashed through the living room of a house in Hull after colliding with two parked cars.
The crash happened at around 4am yesterday morning when the driver of a four-wheel drive vehicle lost control.
He collided with two cars, a Renault Clio and a Ford C-MAX, on Parkfield Drive before smashing into the front bay window of a property.
The fire service arrived to remove the vehicle, while the driver was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary as a precaution. He is understood to be recovering at home.
Iris Baxter, the owner of the house, said that she was asleep at the time and “couldn’t believe it” when the car smashed through the living room directly below.
"I was still asleep actually but I did hear a bang. I thought it was a lorry that had shed a load.
"I opened my front door and my next door neighbour said 'look at your bay Iris?' I was just amazed, I couldn't believe it" she said.
The fire service said props had been used to shore up the window to make it safe, as the collision had caused extensive damage to the front of the property.
