BMW has collaborated with the Italian design house Zagato to create a one-of-a-kind concept car -- the Zagato Coupe.

The car was revealed at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, a classic and historical car show held annually on the banks of Lake Como in Italy.

BMW hasn't released any technical specs on the Zagato, nor has it confirmed whether or not future BMWs will feature any design cues from the car; however, the Zagato is fully road-legal and is registered for use in Germany. It even conforms to current safety regulations and has been designed for high-speed stability.

However, we really couldn't give two hoots about the Zagato's high-speed performance; what we're interested in is the way this car looks. From almost any angle, the Zagato looks absolutely sensational. The car's exterior was handcrafted from aluminium by experts from Zagato, and BMW claims that the body is designed to fit its mechanical architecture. The Beemer's double-bubble roof and vertical rear end are both classic Zagato design traits and the car sits on 19-inch matte-effect alloy wheels.

Inside, the dark grey leather upholstery is stitched together with red thread and there are 'z' logos embroidered onto the seats.
