Audi’s new hot-hatch, the S1 has been spied during testing at the Nurburgring.
Although on first glance it looks like a normal A1, the big chunky tyres, widened track and beefier exhaust pipes are giveaways of the true performance credentials of this car.
The new car will have a 1.6 litre engine developing 220bhp. 0-60mph will take six seconds and flat out you’ll be doing 140mph. The car should also have Quattro AWD transmission and a six-speed manual gearbox.
When the S1 does go on sale, expect to see a more aggressive body kit. Audi have yet to reveal the price but the chances are it will be in the £23,000 area.
