What have you got in your garage? A few tins of paint, perhaps? A couple of mountain bikes?

Well, one family has had a 1928 Mercedes-Benz S-Type hidden away in their garage for sixty years.

The Merc was bought brand new in 1928 by the current owner's grandfather and still runs perfectly, despite having not been driven since the 1950s. The 'battleship grey' paintwork is all original and even the blue upholstery is still intact. Today the Mercedes is worth £1.5million.

Car experts have hailed the discovery as 'an incredible find'.

The S-Type is set to go up for auction at Bonhams' Goodwood Revival sale in September. We shudder to think how much it will fetch.
