Seat Mii Car Reviews

The SEAT Mii is a rebadged version of the VW up!, and it's around £500 cheaper than its German cousin. Economical, well made and good-looking, it's a cracking little city car; however, it doesn't have the prestige of the VW.

Seat Mii Overview

As with the up!, you get a choice of two 1.0-litre 3-pot engines, offering either 59bhp or 74bhp. The engine is very smooth despite lacking a cylinder and it's surprisingly refined, even on the motorway.

The Mii is also good fun to drive thanks to a snappy gearchange, a well sorted chassis and crisp, direct steering.

Inside, it's not quite as well-finished as the up! and there are some cheap plastics but the whole thing feels well screwed together and the driving position is very comfortable.

There's also plenty of space on the inside and the Mii has been awarded a five-star NCAP safety rating so it's as safe as it is practical.

Background

The SEAT Mii went into production in 2011 and is based on VW's up! city car which was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

This is SEAT's first offering in the city car sector since the Arosa, a car which was also based on a VW (the Lupo).

Summary

The SEAT is a great little car and although it's not as desirable as an up!, it offers better value for money and all of the more expensive car's good points.
