Renault Wind Overview
The Wind is very affordable despite its lavish looks, the differing trim levels don’t offer much change in the way of performance, but are more concerned with cosmetics. Other trim levels include the Dynamique, the Dynamique s and the GT Line.
Background
The Renault Wind started out as a concept car in 2004. It originally had three seats, two in the front and one in the back. The production model however, which arrived in 2010 only contains two seats.
The production model has a roll bar behind the seats and a spoiler to give it that extra sporty feel. The roof is also pretty unique as it is one of the only one piece metal roofs which aren’t too common with convertibles. The roof rotates 180° backwards and is said to completely fold away in 12 seconds.
The Wind did not receive any updates and was pretty short lived with production ending in early 2012.
Summary
The Renault Wind is a good looking convertible which comes with a good amount of standard kit. It looks a lot sportier than it is to drive, yet for the price it is definitely worth a look.
