Mercedes-Benz CLC Overview

It handles with an ease that invites relaxation, while the steering is nicely weighted, allowing the car to glide across rough and smooth surfaces with no trouble at all. The car comes with a good level of standard equipment, including parking sensors and leather upholstery.

The CLC comes with a choice of six engines – the 180K and 200K petrol engines, two diesels in the form of the 200 and 220 CDI oil burners, and two V6 variants, the 230 and 350. The car was produced as its own line up between 2008 and 2010.

In addition to providing a high level of comfort and performance, the CLC comes at a reasonable price compared with similar models.

Background

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class SportCoupe was introduced in 2001.

The car was a 3-door hatchback coupe, powered by a 2.3 litre supercharged engine.

The SportCoupe was very stylish, featuring a swooping fastback roofline and a functional rear spoiler.

It was not until 2008 that the SportCoupe was spun off into its own separate line, forming the CLC-Class. The interior of the car was largely similar to that of the SportCoupe, although the navigation system had been updated and the steering wheel was different.

The CLC was discontinued in 2011, with a C-Class coupe added to the Mercedes line up for the 2012 model year.

Summary

The Mercedes CLC is a spacious executive car that is equipped with performance, prestige and quality in abundance.
