Maserati Granturismo Car Reviews

The Maserati GranTurismo is a two-door grand tourer sports car that has been in production since 2007. The GranTurismo is everything an Italian super coupe should be – elegant, sophisticated and glamorous. It offers terrific levels of comfort – with space for four – and is enjoyable to drive. As far as running costs are concerned, bills for the Maserati GranTurismo will be relatively high as average fuel economy falls below 20mpg anytime the accelerator pedal is grazed.

Maserati Granturismo Overview

The GranTurismo is blessed with stunning exterior aesthetics, and has the performance to match. Steering is particularly responsive and the suspension is firm, making for a smooth and simple drive, even at high speeds.

There are several versions of the car on the market, including the GranTurismo S and the GranTurismo S Automatic. All models sport a V8 engine and the S Automatic tops out at over 180mph.

First introduced in 2007, the original GranTurismo sported a 4.2 litre V8 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In 2008 the GranTurismo S was released with a bigger engine and updated weight distribution, making for better performance and quicker acceleration. The limited production GranTurismo MC was produced first in 2009.

Also debuting in 2009 was the Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic, with an enhanced transmission and luxury interior.

The Maserati GranTurismo is a head turner, both in terms of style and performance. Anyone lucky enough to be in the position to afford one will have endless fun on the road with this beautiful speed-mobile.
