Kia Picanto Overview

The Kia Picanto cabin space is good, especially for a car in this class. The boot is small but quite capable of accommodating several shopping bags, and the rear seats can be folded down to create a larger storage area.

The car provides a decent driving experience and boasts sharp steering and stability. It has a bright and colourful exterior and makes for an excellent vehicle for new drivers.

Background

The first generation of the Kia Picanto began production in 2004, available as a 5-door hatchback with a range of small engines and a choice of 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.

The model received a facelift in 2007 with minor interior and exterior changes.

The current generation was introduced in 2011, now available as both a 5-door and 3-door hatchback with reduced CO2 emissions.

The exterior has been remodelled and is much more aesthetically pleasing than that of its predecessor. The interior is more spacious and the car also boasts improved fuel economy.

Summary

The Kia Picanto is a city car that works as a great vehicle for new drivers, with low running costs and responsive steering making for an easy drive.
