The Accord's 2.0-litre petrol engine develops 154bhp and 141lb-ft of torque. This translates into a 0-62mph time of 11.1 seconds and a top speed 0f 130mph which is good for a large car like this.
The handling is competent but uninspiring. The steering lacks directness but the ride is perfectly composed and the Accord feels stable and sure-footed on the road. Don't expect any thrills behind the wheel, however.
The Accord Tourer is a good looking car and comes fitted with alloy wheels to give the car some style, but to make the car even more unique, metallic paint can be added for £490.
Standard kit includes climate control, electric mirrors, electric windows, cruise control, MP3 connectivity, CD player and Bluetooth. Sat-nav is unavailable on this model.
Honda are renowned for building some of the most reliable cars in the world and the Accord Tourer comes with a 3 year/90,000 mile warranty which is very impressive.
The Accord scored the full five stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests and should be a very safe vehicle thanks to a suite of airbags and a host of driver aids which keep all four wheels firmly planted on the road.
The Accord Tourer is very spacious and the boot space is 406 litres when the rear seats are upright, and when the rear seats are folded there is a roomy 1183 litres.

Fuel economy is unimpressive and you'll only manage 38.7mpg on the combined cycle. CO2 emissions are relatively high too at 170g/km, putting the Accord in VED band H. Insurance costs will be reasonable thanks to group 23 insurance and you shouldn't have to fork out much on expensive repairs thanks to the Accord's rock-solid build quality.
